Request-MT Story, Ch. 10

They charged.  Leaping over Tails, Merrick bounded towards Meka, then swung his sword down to cleave her head in two.  Sidestepping at just the right moment, the sword sliced through the controls.  Sparks flew from it immediately, and the laser went haywire.  She pulled out what looked like a fat, compact TV remote with two tiny metal rods sticking out at the top.  Blue electricity flared in between the rods.  A taser.
"Merrick, look out!" Sonic shouted, fending off Coconuts with Numa.  "Don't get too close!  That thing packs major voltage!"
"Don't worry."  Merrick held his black katana up.  "I don't plan to get too close."  And with that little statement, he bounded towards Meka, his sword extended to full length.  Dodging him once again, she slashed her taser out, and from the teeny little rods unfurled a dazzling yellow whip made up of electricity.  She swung it, but missed, catching Derrick in the side.  He slammed into Halo, who slammed into Sora, pinning him against the wall.
"Derrick!  Are you okay, little buddy?!" Merrick yelled, holding his black katana in a guard stance.
"He's breathing!" Halo supplied optimistically.
The buzzing sound of the electric whip alerted Merrick to the battle.  He swung both swords in Meka's direction, catching her whip just in time of striking his back, but a wave of yellow electricity bolted up his swords and electrocuted the black fox.  The sheer speed of the bolt sent Merrick flying backwards, nearly crushing Kyle and Omar.
Meka smirked.  "That was way too easy.  Guess you can't take a punch-"
*SMACK*
A gloved fist collided with Meka's jaw.  Merrick got up, rubbing his arms.  The smell of burnt hair clogged the air.  "Neither can you," he stated.  He went and picked up his swords gingerly by their leather handles.  Sparks flew from the blades as electricity wound up and down the black metal.  The whip had supercharged the swords...unintentionally, of course.
"Hey, Meka!" Merrick called playfully.  The assistant turned around, blood running down her mouth, and yelled angrily, whip ablaze.  Merrick countered it with relative ease, and brought the swords down on her arm, intent on chopping it off.  Instead, she merely dodged, but the swords managed to get her skin, sending blood everywhere.
While Merrick was engaged with Meka, the other Squad members were having battles of their own.  Robots were now pouring in from the destroyed door, firing away at the Mobians.  Lagun, Omar, Numa, and Sonic were taking care of these drones, but these machine were tough to destroy; not only were they rigged with blasters, their metal casing was made out of reinforced steel; even Lagun's Flame Sword had trouble slicing through them.  Halo, Miza, and Bria were destroying another squadron coming from a hole in the wall, while Nick and Uranium were trying to get rid of the robotic monkey.  Ashura, Sonic, and Color were trying to take down Scratch.  The simple robots from before seemed upgraded since their last encounter with Sonic and Tails.  The mini-battles raged on.
Merrick dodged another whip lash from Meka's taser.  The two were violently sharing blows from the electric and sword.  Each received wounds, but it didn't hinder them; they continued dueling, showing no signs of stopping.
Now everyone was struggling to keep the robots back.  A few people were trying to take on Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts, but only four people managed.
Lagun and Bria handled the task of fighting off Coconuts, though the monkey was so agile they had trouble laying any hits on him.  He jumped and swung from the pipes protruding from the ceiling, getting on their nerves.
"Hold still!" Bria yelled angrily, swiping at the robotic mammal.  It just laughed, sounding like a screech.  Lagun swore angrily, and slashed at a pipe.  Water suddenly burst from the pipe, extinguishing  the fox's sword, and splashing the chimp.
"Eek, eek!" he screeched, his hands swiping at his wet face.  Bria took advantage of Coconut's blindness and roundhouse-kicked the robotic monkey.  He hit the wall behind him, ensnared in a et of loose pipes, all gushing water on him.
"High-five!"  Lagun and Bria high-fived coolly.
Cherry was nothing more than a white ball of blur as she struck Grounder, leaving dents in his green armor.  In a few furious seconds, she roundhouse kicked him, struck several blows with the side of her hand, and force-palmed Grounder in the forehead region with such force he was sent backward into a pile of rubble.
"Kunde ha hade V-8!" Cherry said, throwing her arms in front of her.
Meanwhile, Sonic and Miza tackled Scratch.  Sonic performed a Spin Attack, but the rooster merely bent over to dodge it.  Angry, Sonic tried again, but Scratch evaded it yet again.  Growing furious, he started performing a bunch of Spin Attacks to hit him, but Scratch dodged them all yet again.
"Mr. Sonic!" Miza called, trying to avoid Scratch's attempts at capturing her amid Sonic's attacks.  "I have an idea!"
"Yeah, just keep yelling it!" Sonic barked sarcastically.  "He'll never know!"
Miza growled angrily.  "Then come here!  OW!"  He got the young blue fox by the ears.
"Miza!"  Halo heard her cry, and got punched in the neck by a robot.  After flying a few feet, she collided with Kyle.  She didn't get back up, forcing Kyle to crawl out under her.
Miza cried a little from the combined fear of loss at Halo's sprawled body and the fact her ears were being pulled.  She was being flopped around like a doll as Scratch avoided the Blue Blur.
"GRAH!"  Sonic roared.

The author of this book would like to point out that Sonic is not saying 'GRAH!', but rather a very large and inappropriate word.  Now, as the requester has told me, to 'replace swear words with *bleep*, *bloop*' and other such words, but the bleeping of the swearwords, but this word is too large to put under censor bars or asterisks (*).  Sonic must be in some form of mad if he's swearing around Miza and Tails, seven and eight respectively.  Now, several of you will be annoyed with me for posting such a long author's note where I can easily put it in the description, but the next part may confuse people to the point of insanity.  That, and annoying you guys gives me a sick pleasure. >:3

Everyone stopped battling and stared at Sonic.  Even Tails managed to turn his head to stare at his blue friend.
"Dude, that was harsh..." Halo commented.
"Shouldn't you be unconscious?!" Sonic barked angrily, feeling awkward.  Sweat ran down his neck.
"Yes," Uranium said, and hit Halo on the head with a metal pipe, knocking her out.
"How long have you been in the story?" Numa asked coldly.
"As long as you look like a Werehog," Uranium responded coolly.
"Listen, you *bleepidty bleepneeded bleep*!  I don't need ANYMORE crap about that-"
"AH-hem!" Meka cleared her throat loudly.  Everyone turned to look at her.  She motioned to Merrick.  "Would you do the honors?"
"Yes?" Merrick was confused.
Meka threw him a bright red gun.  A flare gun.
The black fox looked at her.  "What do I do with this?"
"Simple," she shrugged, with the air of explaining how a calculator works.  "Point and fire."
Merrick looked back it, turning it over in his hands.  He quickly shot a flare at Sonic, whistling past his fur and glided through a hole in the wall.  A bright light flared from beyond the hole, along with a scream.  Knuckles emerged, smoking and blackened.
"A guy leaves a battle for going the bathroom: how long has that been illegal?" Knuckles yelled angrily.
"Yes, as it's an EPIC BATTLE SEQUENCE!" Color said angrily.  "You don't interrupt those!"
"Yeah!" several others cried in approval...even the villains.
Knuckles snorted angrily.  "Can't give a guy a break..."
Amidst the going-ons, Kyle had sneaked away to the table Tails was tied, too.  The laser was still smoking, and a red light was on it.
"You okay?" he asked.
"Scared," Tails replied.
Kyle sniffed, his black nose twitching.  "Dude...did you mark your territory?"
Tails blushed and nodded.
"Gross," Kyle remarked, undoing the last strap.  Tails sat up, rubbing his wrists.
"Thanks," he said, filled with gratitude.  "Now, where's Eggman?"
The yellow fox shrugged and looked around.  "He musta got away."
"Dang!"
"Come on, then, we'll get you out of here," Kyle whispered, but they were already spotted.
A bright flare zoomed past them.  It hit the laser, and started smoking.
"*bleep*!"  Merrick realized what he did.
"Why did you try to hit us?!" Kyle yelled at him.
"I didn't mean to!" Halo yelled, dropping the flare gun to hold up her hands in surrender.
"You did that?" Kyle yelled incredulously.
"Don't be too surprised.  Sonic usually says she couldn't hit the broad side of a barn," Tails told Kyle.  Halo glared at the blue hedgehog.
"You're nice," she said sarcastically.
"Shut up, we have other plans."
"LOOK OUT!"
A bright orange beam shot out of the machine.
"Crap it!" Meka ducked as another beam was fired, hitting the wall behind her.  A massive hole formed behind her.  She turned to the Tails Rescue Brigade.  "Take the boy!"
"Why?" Cherry asked.
"Why?!  Ugh, never mind!  There's a chance we'll die, that's why!" Meka explained, screaming.  Another laser shot at them, and Meka screamed.  "Any more proof?  Go, go, go!"  She pushed them out through the broken door.  "Go!" she repeated.
They all hurried out, Tails and Kyle bringing up the rear.  The laser's firing noise was still heard.  Something barreled past them.
"Go faster!" Meka commanded.
"Why?!" Cherry repeated louder.
"You Sweds and your questions!"Meka yelled behind her, speeding up.
"That was weird," Halo remarked ironically.
*BOOM</b>*
An earth-shattering ka-boom ripped through the air, propelling them forward a little.  The stone walls began cracking and crumbling around them, sending chips of rocks onto them.  The building was shaking so violently, it felt more like a roller coaster than an evil base.  The air seemed to vibrate, molecules rubbing molecules until the heat from the friction would burn them alive.
"*bleep bleep bleep bleep bleeeep*" Merrick thought.  "How are we gonna get out of this?"  He could easily warp out of there, but the others couldn't...what if they held hands?  What if they formed a human whip?
"HUMAN WHIP!" Merrick yelled, and thrust his hand out.  Sonic grabbed a hold of it; Knuckles grabbed a hold of his, and so it continued.  Soon, almost every member of the Tails Rescue Brigade were holding hands.

Kyle and Tails saw everyone making the chain.  The heat on their backs was steadily increasing, and black smoke was filtering from the broken air pipes.  Dust was billowing all around now, reducing their visibility.
"What are they doing up ahead?" Tails asked.
"Forming a human chain," Kyle explained.  "Hurry, it's heading our way!"
"There's no way we'll make it!"  A hot burst of smoke burnt their twin tails.
"Negativity will get you nowhere!" Miza said from in front of them.  "Come on!  Take my hand!"  She extended it.
Tails and Kyle looked at each other briefly.  Tails interlocked his gloved fingers into hers.

"KWAH!"  She wiggled in delight.  She blushed so hard her entire face turned pink.

Back in reality...

*BANG!*
Even though another bang-though less intense than the previous explosion-wracked the vicinity, they could only hear silence.  Merrick warped, and in a chain reaction, everyone else warped milliseconds after the three-tailed kitsune.  However, as Kyle reached for Tails' outstretched hand, the orange fox was gone in a  flash of white light.
